Class Descriptions

Basic Yoga:
A great way to start your practice! Provides a basic understanding of poses, breath, and alignment. After a few weeks of practicing in this class, students will have the knowledge and skills to evolve their yoga practice.

Core Yoga:
In this class, the emphasis is on developing muscular strength and endurance throughout the body, focusing on the core stabilizing muscles (abs and back) and the glutes as well as additional muscle groups surrounding and assisting the midsection. We will strengthen, tone, and sculpt while also improving flexibility and balance. Core Yoga is open to all levels of students.

Mix Yoga:
Classes are an eclectic blend of hatha yoga poses drawn from Iyengar, Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Viniyoga styles. Each yoga class consists of a total mind-body workout including strength building, cardiovascular conditioning, balance, flexibility, and relaxation. Special emphasis is placed on using the breath and alignment to safely open and strengthen the body. Variations and modifications for most poses will be demonstrated to accommodate all levels of practice.

Energizing AM Flow:
A steady flow of yoga postures linked by breath in fluid movement aimed to awaken, strengthen, & open your body, mind, & spirit. What a way to greet your day!

Power Yoga:
A systematic sequence of yoga poses, focusing on the synchronization of breath with movement (Vinyasa flow) based around Sun Salutations. Increases metabolism to burn fat, sculpts muscles and reduces stress. Be ready to sweat in this class! Temperatures range from 80 to 90 degrees. Students should be familiar with basic yoga poses before attending any flow class.

Gentle Yoga:
This class is for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or are physically out of shape. Gentle yoga will help balance muscles, create awareness, and bring proper alignment so that you can have good posture throughout your day. Perfect for beginners, seniors, and pregnancy/postpartum as well.

Restorative Yoga:
Offers rejuvenating and passive poses held for longer periods that are supported by yoga props to generate flexibility and balance, promote health, and create a state of deep relaxation. Let your senses bask in calming scents of aromatherapy, which leave you feeling refreshed and restored. Yoga blocks, straps, and blankets will be provided and used for more complete relaxation. Yoga props are suggested, but not required. If you already have a bolster please bring it.

Private Yoga Session:
This is perfect for new students just beginning to learn the fundamentals, as well as for the intermediate/advanced students who need additional instruction to deepen or further their existing practice. Receive full attention of the yoga teacher to access your individual needs and prescribe a personalized yoga program. Whether you're an athlete wanting to enhance your sport performance or wanting relief from an ailment or health condition, a customized yoga therapy program can be created just for you. Cost: $50/hour - basic session. Special rates also available for semi-private sessions, groups, and corporate yoga. Contact for more details.
